11g Router with 11b pci/pcmcia card

Hi,

This is a general question.

Can a 11g router use WPA with a pc using 11b ?

So, will the connection be as secure as 11g or 11b?

11g and 11b have no security built in to them. You need to use WEP or WPA
on top of them for that. Therefore (as I understand it) if your router
supports WPA and so does your PCI card, then you are golden...assuming your
11g router is 11b compatible (as most of them are).

11b or g has nothing to do with security. They're simply connection speeds.
Security would involve WPA or WEP.
