10038 Socket Error

After installing a wireless card, i received a 10038
socket error and I cant connect to the internet. Please
advise. Thanks.

Consider the possibility of spyware or adware on your system that is causing
problems connecting. Go to http://www.lavasoftusa.com/, download a copy of
AdAware, install it, update it, then run it and clean up any messes found.
If any are cleaned, reboot and run it again until the system is clean.

What's the cause of these particular socket error? Is it
more on the wireless card or the OS? Thanks again.

What it means is that a program has requested the operating system to open a
"socket" - that is, a channel so it can communicate on the network (in this
case, the Internet) - and the request was not successful.
