The ethernet ports on most home routers usually run at 100 Mbps. However,
DSL is generally <10 Mbps. Thus, you should not experience a loss in speed
if you connect through the 10 Mbps hub. However, if you can return the hub,
you should get a 100 Mbps switch instead. You should be able to get a
decent 5 port switch for about $20. That would allow your LAN to operate at
100 Mbps, which will be noticeable if you are moving files between
computers.
