I have a 10/100 3com pci ethernet adapter on my laptop, my
software tells me i connect at 10mbs, my three other
desktop computers connect at 100mbs, all hooked up to the
same router. i cant seem to change the speed of my card
in my laptop and i have checked for all updates and
everything seems current. I want 100mbs on my laptop can
anyone help.

There are many 3com drivers so look at their website for the correct
driver instructions and run the diagnostic or setup and set the speed to
Autosense from within it.
For example on a 3c59x nic run a file named 3c59xcfg.exe or the
install.exe but you will have to check which card driver you use.

What OS are you using on your Laptop~??

Should be able to change it in the Win98 Network Properties section
in ..Xp : right click My Network Places-->left on Properties, right click
the Lan Connection then left click properties... click the Configure icon
just below the "connect using" then left click the Advanced tab... and check
out your options in there...
